Somerset , Wisconsin is the permanent home of the Fire Hockey Club. Somerset is a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota - named as "Hockey Town, USA" by SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Magazine. Somerset was originally named La Point de la Pomme de Terre, "Ouisconsin" by the first settlers who were French-Canadians from Quebec. The strong hockey culture and tradition in Somerset, Wisconsin is the seed from which the Fire was born. If you think you are made of the right stuff, then you are invited to come try out for one of our world-class elite hockey teams. You don't have to be from Somerset to play on one of our elite Fire teams. Tryouts are open to anyone who has the spirit of "Ouisconsin" in their heart and a fire in their belly to excell.
